4 Tips for Cleaning Quartz Tops

30" White (Bellrose) vanity with Moondust quartz top - Rock Solid Vanities

Not only is quartz durable – it’s easy to keep clean!

The reason? Quartz is a non-porous material, which means it’s very difficult for bacteria, mold and mildew to penetrate your vanity top and grow. That’s why quartz tops are an ideal choice for your bathroom.

Here are four tips to keep your quartz top clean:

  1. Clean your counter with a soft rag and, if necessary, a pH-balanced detergent. Make sure you choose a non-bleach, non-abrasive detergent.
  2. Wipe away liquids, spills and stains as soon as possible.
  3. To clean dried on or heavy stains, use a glass cleaner and a non-abrasive sponge. Spray the cleaner on the counter and let it stand for eight to 10 minutes, then wipe the cleaner away with the sponge.
  4. To remove gum, grease or paint from your counter, use a plastic knife to gently scrape your counter clean then remove any remaining residue with a soft rag.
